Curious by default, competitive by habit.

I'm Emmanuel Kunat Angelo-Hyuwa, and I grew up in Lagos solving problems for sport: mathematics olympiads, physics contests, economics nationals, televised science competitions. Somewhere between the medals, I fell for the thing underneath them all, building systems that actually work.

These days that mostly means shipping. I'm building Minerva Connect, a Q&A platform pairing Minerva applicants with current students, and a Chrome extension that makes our university forum bearable to look at. I care more about shipping things that work than things that look good on paper.

I'm at Minerva University, a school with a 1.9% acceptance rate that moves its students across four world cities, double-majoring in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence and Physics. Alongside it I'm working through CodePath's AI110 and data structures courses.

When I'm not writing code, I'm probably tutoring maths or programming on Schoolhouse.world, playing chess, or running the Nigerian chapter of Rise Above Autism.
